Nicholas grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and majored in community studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz with a focus on social change in education. A few years after graduating, he moved to New York City and rediscovered his love of art by drawing, designing and taking pictures. Inspired by his surroundings, Nicholas bagan to study web and graphic design at Compu21 in Queens and fine art at School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. He entered photography contests, commissioned design work and started to make murals for public schools and shelters. Subsequently, Nicholas was admitted to Columbia University and now works mainly in oil, collage and pencil. He continues to commission murals and other projects in different mediums. Nicholas is currently in a group exhibition at Aloft Harlem Art Gallery and working on a mural about food deserts for b[x] spaces Outdoor Gallery.
